TRANSPARENCYandACCOUNTABILITY.ORG, “IT's OUR TURN”

About Us

TransparencyandAccountability.org is inspired by regular people sharing a desire to be represented in the manner that The Constitution of The United States intended. We’re not media experts; lobbyists; political activists or issue activists. We are just regular people with a common desire that our Representation in Washington be responsible to the people who elected them.

It now has been over two (2) years since many of us stood in long lines and endured up to six (6) hour waits to choose our Representation during the Presidential Election. We did it because we care. We make our choices and send our Representatives off to Washington based upon what they told us during their campaigns; the statements they made; and if they matched up with how we feel and what we believe to be in our best interests.

Are you satisfied that the people you elected are living up to the promises they made to us? If not, we need to let every one of them know!

We listen to and read about what is going on in Washington. Some of us call a radio station to voice our opinion (if we get by a producer); some of us write letters to the editor (if they get published); some of us send emails (if they get read). We hear or see the polls telling us how America feels and thinks – have you been polled recently? Do our Representatives hear or read what we are saying? With everything Washington is dealing with today, our Representation is receiving an unprecedented number of communications from their constituents.

Things change so quickly in today’s world and it could be six (6) years before an elected representative’s job review takes place (the next election). We need to be certain our Representation is consistent with what they told us – and if not – please tell us why.

We The People can no longer afford to lose tract of our Representation after election day – the cost is just too great. Our expectation is simple: Give us an efficient and effective government in the best interest of We The People. Democracy requires the voice of the people to be heard.
